The World Cup Pool (this site) is a free, for-fun prediction game for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. There are no entry fees and no prizes awarded by us. You participate at your own risk. By signing up or using the site, you agree to these terms.
This site lets you predict World Cup results and compare your predictions with friends. It is intended as entertainment among friends and acquaintances. It is not a sportsbook, gambling platform, fantasy sports operator, or wagering service. We do not collect entry fees and we do not pay out prizes.
If you and your friends choose to settle informal bets or prizes amongst yourselves outside of this site, that is entirely between you. We are not a party to those arrangements, do not facilitate them, and accept no responsibility for them.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use this site. By using the site, you represent that you meet that requirement and that participating in a free prediction game is legal where you live.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Don't share your account. Use a real email address so we can reach you if needed.
Be reasonable in the display name you pick. We may remove or modify display names that are abusive, impersonating, or otherwise inappropriate.

The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the site will be available, accurate, timely, error-free, secure, or free from bugs. Match results, standings, and scoring may be wrong, delayed, or change. We make no promises that your picks, scores, pool memberships, or any other data will be preserved.
We reserve the right to change scoring rules, deadlines, pool structures, features, or any other aspect of the site at any time, with or without notice. We may also pause, restart, or end the pool at any time for any reason.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we (the site operator) are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the site, including but not limited to lost data, disputed scores, missed deadlines, disputes between pool members, or any informal bets or prizes settled outside the site.
If a court decides we are liable despite the above, our total liability is limited to $0, since you did not pay anything to use the site.
You agree to defend and hold harmless the site operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or any disputes you have with other users (including disputes over informal prizes).
We collect the minimum needed to run the site: your email, display name, and the picks and pool memberships you create. We don't sell your data. Authentication is handled by Supabase, and the site is hosted on Vercel — both of which receive operational data necessary to provide their services.
We may suspend or delete your account at any time, for any reason, including violations of these terms. You can stop using the site at any time. On termination, your account data may be deleted.
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the new terms.
FIFA, the World Cup, country names, team names, and related marks belong to their respective owners. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA or any participating football association. Match data and results are sourced from third-party providers and may be subject to their own terms.
